By attaching it to the pump's water inlet, it prevents fry and small shrimp from being sucked in.
Since it can be attached to both the upper and lower inlets, it provides thorough protection even when using the product with a high water level.
*This is a different product from the "Fry Safe Cap" sold previously. The "Fry Safe Cap" has been renamed and is now sold as the "Soil Protector."
